Windrock Debuts New IIoT Enabled Spotlight Monitoring System at TPS 2017


Windrock, a Dover Energy Automation (DEA) company specializing in monitoring and optimizing reciprocating assets, is pleased to announce the launch of its new IIoT enabled Spotlight Monitoring System. Unveiled at a special launch party during the 2017 Turbomachinery & Pumps Symposium (TPS), the new Spotlight Monitoring System is an automated, real-time IIoT solution specifically designed to elevate the collection and analysis of predictable performance data to the next level.


Leveraging IIoT principles to deliver insights into the health and performance of critical assets, the new Spotlight Monitoring System is a plug-and-play solution that utilizes four magnet-mounted PUCs (Peripheral Universal Connection) to acquire high-speed rotating data. These PUCs are connected to the Spotlight Controller, considered the central nervous system, via a single cable. The Spotlight Controller then sends the data over to a Microsoft® Azure hosted cloud via gateway, where Windrock Enterprise, an intuitive data visualization software proprietary to Windrock, provides actionable insights and uncovers trends concerning the health of the entire fleet of assets.
